Orchard Swallowtail

Identification: Wingspan 110mm. Black with white band across forewing. Large central pale patch on hindwing. Female larger than male.

This striking butterfly is a regular visitor to our garden, and has made many fleeting visits. These butterflies tend to be found where citrus plants occur as their larva feed on citrus.
